山田さん、こんにちは。

ぜひ台北 (たいぺい) へ行きましょう。台北は台湾 (たいわん）のいちばん大きい町です。にぎやかで、おもしろい町です。

私はニューヨークにすんでいますから、JFKまで飛行機（ひこうき）に乗(の)りて、成田空港 (なりたくうこう）で飛行機を乗り換えします。台北の空港から、電車で町の都心（としん）行くことができます。

台北にたくさんありますよ。台北の故宮博物院（こきゅうはくぶついん - National Palace Museum）へ行かなければなりません。台北の 故宮博物院は有名 (ゆうめい)な美術館 (びじゅつかん)ですから、中国の美術がたくさんあります。美術館へ行ってから、昼ご飯を食べましょう。

鼎泰豐：おいしい食べ物です！

 

 鼎泰豐 (ヂンタイフェン) は台湾の一番有名なレストランです。このレストランは食べものがおいしいです。点心や野菜があります。 小籠包(シャオロンパオ)は一番おいしいです。

夜(よる)に天気 (てんき)はあたたかくなりますから、士林(シェリン)のよいちで買い物しなければなりません。安いものを買って、おいしい スナックを食べことができます。人が多くて、とてもにぎやかです。

私は台北をしっていますから、しんぱいしなくてもいいです。この旅行はいいですか。

About Communication

Communication is about the exchange of ideas between individuals, whether it is through speech, writing, images, or even through music and sounds. For the sake of communication, we learn languages, read about other cultures. Our entire education experience is based off communication.

That being said, the podcast project is about learning how to effectively communicate via film, music, and speeking, but also being concise. Podcasts are typically 3 to 5 minutes in length, so obviously there is a need to be concise. In effect, the podcast is teaching us about how to tell a lot of information in a short amount of time.

Finally, I believe communication is the catalyst for opening dialogue. The fact that we will be posting these videos on blogs and Youtube means that in the comment section, we can communicate with the audience's questions and comments.

Yesterday I was browsing around Kayak.com, and saw that: 三月にニューヨークから東京のなりたくうこうまで６９０ドルです！はる休み東京へ行きましょう！

Unfortunately, I already booked my tickets back to San Francisco for Spring Break, but for anyone looking for things to do, this is a good opportunity since tickets on this route are usually over $1000! Continental/United, American, and Delta are at a pricing war, both offering similar prices on the New York to Narita route.

This is a great way also to earn over 13,000 miles as well as elite-qualifying miles (halfway to the first level of elite status on AA, UA/CO, DL). Too bad I already have plans for break...

Chances of having prices that low over the summer? Close to none. But I'll be keeping my eyes out for any other specials so I can finally practice my Japanese in Japan.

私のすてきな物

私はクラシックギターひきます。わたし今バッハのソナタ第３番ひきます。とてもむずかしです。アレグロははやいですから。ここビデオはパブロ・ビアンコです。この人はわかいミュージシャンです。クラシックギターのコンペティションに一番です。



バッハの音楽はポリフォニーがありますから、バッハの音楽はおもしろいです。バッハのフーグはきれいで、 すてきです。

私は新しいアートがすきです。時々ニューヨークのMoMA美術館（びじゅつかん）へ行きます。 MoMA美術館の中で、ジャクソン・ポロックは一番有名で、おもしろいです。今MoMAはAbstract Expressionist New York の美術展(びじゅつてん- exhibition)があります。絵(え）が多いです。

I find that Abstract Expressionist is a huge break-off from conventional art, and an era where the philosophies behind the creation of art become more important than the visual depictions themselves. Some art critics consider that Abstract Expressionism returns back to the original intentions of paintings: 3D depictions is for sculpture, but Abstract Expressionism recognizes the two dimensional limits of the canvas.

冬休み

私は冬休みにサンフランシスコへ帰りました。私の家族はサンフランシスコに住んでいます。

今、飛行機の切符は高くないですから、時々うちへ帰ります。そして、私のマイレージプログラムの中で、マイルがたくさんあります。それから、いまユナイテッド航空のプレミアの会員（スターアライアンスシルバ）です。

クリスマスはとても楽しっかたです。私は家族とおいしい晩ご飯をたべいました。私は食べ物が好きですから、私は両親にトマス・ケーラの料理書をもらいました。

カリフォルニアのタホ湖へ行きました。一週間にスキーしました。風景はきれいでした。雪と木と山があります。

I have been singing this for the entire day, but unfortunately I can only pick out a few words out of the song like ここはエメラルドシティ, としょかん、and すてきよ. But I did notice that in order to fit with the music, they used a lot of dictionary form!

This song has been stuck in my head for the last few days. I first heard it while in Taiwan when my cousin who speaks fluent Japanese did it at karaoke. Yes, it's seems like a fairly old song, but I have to say, the song is pretty epic. I've noticed that recently, I'm starting to understand more and more of the song, which is very exciting!
