Communication is about the exchange of ideas between individuals, whether it is through speech, writing, images, or even through music and sounds. For the sake of communication, we learn languages, read about other cultures. Our entire education experience is based off communication.
That being said, the podcast project is about learning how to effectively communicate via film, music, and speeking, but also being concise. Podcasts are typically 3 to 5 minutes in length, so obviously there is a need to be concise. In effect, the podcast is teaching us about how to tell a lot of information in a short amount of time.
Finally, I believe communication is the catalyst for opening dialogue. The fact that we will be posting these videos on blogs and Youtube means that in the comment section, we can communicate with the audience's questions and comments.
